For fall 2012, Versace’s presentation was very Gothic , with
barely-there eyebrows and
blunt cut bangs –very Rooney Mara.Crosses
figured prominently as an ornate cross was
printed on tops and dresses,
and a more abstract T-shape worked its way onto dresses.
Byzantine
cross embroidery adorned most of the pieces which included velvet coats,
halter dresses, strapless dresses, turtlenecks and leather-paneled
pencil skirts.
Knee-high boots both warm and perforated ones as well as
wide and double-size mannish
belts finished the looks.
Colorful mini dresses emblazoned with the Versace logo in bold, graphic
lettering. Some may call
these pieces tacky, but they were a fun
addition to a collection steeped in the spirit of Versace.
