After four years of retirement a famous fashion designer Valentino Garavani behind the
Valentino
fashion house takes a job as a costume designer for NYC Ballet. The
designer
has created 25 costumes for the NYC Ballet which he worked on
and tweaked till days
before the gala opening.
I have nothing to regret in my career, and I love my colleagues and
peers, but
I don’t pay attention to “fashion” anymore. I have no
nostalgia.
At the last rehearsal, when the first three costumes came on stage, Valentino was
really full of emotion because they were very, very strong. He was
hoping the dancers
don’t sit on the floor, because the dresses are like
soufflés.
