Shya Monet Organic Argan Oil Face Cleanser

I always believed that simple and pure things applied to your face and body will benefit
but I still use to try other conventional products .As a result my skin started to feel
uneven dry and I started getting blemishes on my face.
Going to a dermatologist didnot give me the answer that I was looking for so I decided
to do my own study and discovered that the other so called fillers and ingredients that they use was causing my skin to be oxygen starved and thereby causing all the problems that I faced.
My regiment to face moisturizer is Jojoba Oil  which is PH balanced to your skin and this
wonderful discovery Shya Monet Collection.

ORGANIC GREEN TEA, ORGANIC COCONUT OIL SOAP, ORGANIC BLACKBERRY EXTRACT, ORGANIC ARGAN OIL, ORGANIC APPLE CIDER VINEGAR are some of the ingredients
I use their foaming cleanser which is also anti aging. Easy and ready foaming properties
help in cleansing the face without pulling or tugging on the skin to build lather, instead
you can softly glide over face and wash away all impurities.
To help in repairing already damaged skin they have infused Organic Argan oil
which replaces the lost natural youthful oils the skin produced during
 the more youthful years.
Try their collection and you will be pleasantly surprised as to how good
 their collection is.

Make a Healthy Green Juice.

Whether you’re a daily green juice drinker or can’t stand the thought of drinking your
veggies, you should read this post. People have preconceived ideas about juicing
being time consuming, expensive , messy, but if you have $25 a week, you can have
  juice ready in five minutes.
Start slowly with spinach and apple, and as your palette adjusts you will want to
go more green simply because of the way it makes you feel. Unlike coffee, which
gives you a spike in energy and then a crash, the energy you get from green juice is
sustained throughout the day.The greener you go, the more energy you’ll get.
When possible, buy organic because the skin of the products
 isn’t harmed by pesticides.
Happy juicing.

Edible Flowers for Health

The benefits of eating flowers

Flowers, especially those with deeper colors, are very high in antioxidants.

They also contain Vitamins A, C and E.  Some even have Vitamin D.  Others contain beta-carotene.
And some even have pollen in them that when eaten, can lessen allergy attacks.  Some are
sweet, some bitter, and some are salty.  All of them have some fiber to them.
Some even have substances that are good for your stomach.
Squash and cucumber blossoms are good too.  Eat them raw or batter them and deep fry
in a healthy oil of your choice.  Bean and pea blooms are great in salads.
Chive, onion and garlic blooms all have a more delicate flavor than the vegetable itself.
I take chive blossoms and put them in a quart jar.  Add a bit of lime basil and cover with vinegar.
Let steep in the sun for a few days and strain.  This makes the best salad dressing I’ve ever had!
And though I’m not too fond of okra, the blooms are great, especially in salad.
They have that same mucilaginous quality that okra does.  It’s a great aid for your stomach.
Chrysanthemum tea is well known in Chinese cooking.   It helps tremendously with allergies

It’s important to point out there are flowers that are not edible. In fact, some can
be quite dangerous.  Never eat any flower unless you know it’s safe to consume.
So the next time you cut flowers for the kitchen table, take a second look
to see if you can eat some too!

Make Your Own Rose Water

Rose water is astringent but gentle. It is a natural cleanser that has the ability to help
with fine lines and wrinkles. I love it for minor skin inflammations and rosacea.
Rose water is also known to be helpful with acne and  rebalances the pH of the skin.
  1. Select a large canning pot and place a brick in the center of it. Place a bowl on top of the brick and then add enough petals to fill about halfway up the sides of the bowl. Add water to the top of the brick.
  2.  Put the lid on the pot upside down and turn on the heat. Bring the water just to a boil and then reduce the heat to as low as it can go while still maintaining a simmer. As the pot begins to simmer, carefully add the dry ice to the center of the lid. Note: Always wear thick gloves (leather, wool, or heavy rubber) when handling dry ice. (Get dry ice from a local ice cream shop, and it’s sometimes available at grocery  store)
  3.  You’ll need to keep an eye on your homemade still set-up. Set the timer for 20 minutes. During this time, the water will boil, steam will condense on the upturned lid and roll down the handle until it drips into the bowl below. You should expect to get 2-3 cups of highly potent rose water, but you may have to do a second or third round of 20 minute intervals. Keep checking your rosewater to make certain it isn’t getting too diluted.
  4.  Remove from heat and pour into an amber glass bottle for storage. This should last for several months up to one year.   Enjoy

Healthy Hair The Natural Way

Look to your kitchen for the BEST conditioners to moisturize
 and revitalize your hair!
Three different masks for each type of hair that you can easily make
in minutes using all-natural ingredients you probably have sitting
in your refrigerator or cupboard right now!

Like other oils, olive oil, grape seed oil is an effective natural conditioner, offering
the hair moisturize and vitamins. Regular use of grape seed oil as part of your
regular hair care regime has shown to produce stronger, healthier hair.
Because grape seed oil is lighter than olive oil, it does not leave a greasy feel
and lingering scent.
To use grape seed oil on your hair, simply coat your hair in the oil and let it sit
for ten minutes.
Rinse with cold water. The nutrients found in grape seed oil can also be used for treating dry scalp and dandruff.
When coating your hair as described above, really massage the grape seed oil
into your scalp in a soothing, circular it sit for ten minutes.

DRY hair - Olive Oil and Egg
In need of some major TLC?? Combine three tablespoons of extra virgin

olive oil with two eggs and apply the mixture to your hair and let the mixture
sit for 20 minutes before rinsing in the shower.
The olive oil will help hydrate brittle locks, while the protein in the
eggs will promote healthy hair growth.

OILY hair - Apple Cider Vinegar
 and Lemon
Combine 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar with the grated peel of an entire

lemon and allow it to set for 15 minutes to absorb the excess oil from
your scalp, and then rinse in the shower.
Apple cider vinegar will remove build up from styling products and conditioners

and strengthen the hair shaft, leaving you with soft, shiny strands. It will
also balance hair's pH level, kill bacteria, and is a cure for dandruff.

DRY, flaky scalp hair - Banana, Honey
 and Almond
Mash together 1/2 a ripe banana and add two tablespoons of honey

and a few drops of almond oil and allow it to set with a shower
cap on for 20 minutes before rinsing.
Bananas can increase the moisture of your hair,

smooth frizz and soothe your itchy scalp.

Boost Weight Loss

To boost weight loss -
Ingredients: 2L water, 1 medium cucumber, 1 lemon, 10-12 mint leaves.

Steep overnight in fridge and drink every day. Also great for general detox - including clear skin!

Getting Rid of Dark Circles Under Your Eyes

Skin discoloration under the eyes affects just about everybody at some time or another. For some of us, however, these dark circles are a near-constant bother. While these conditions are occasionally symptomatic of other illnesses, the usual cause is allergies, tiredness, or, unfortunately, heredity. No matter what the cause, you can still reduce the appearance of dark circles, and in some cases, you may be able to get rid of them .

Dark circles under the eye may also be a result caused from a lack of primarily B6 and Folic Acid. About 30% of the population does not absorb regular B6 (pydroxine) or folic acid and need to take in these vitamins in a different form or another way

Allergies may be the most common cause of skin discoloration under the eyes. If they are the root of your problem, you simply need to treat them or remove the allergen .

Get plenty of sleep. Lack of sleep results in dark circles under the eyes that causes the skin to become paler (thus increasing the appearance of darkness under the eyes), and it reduces circulation. It’s also believed that too little time lying down is a cause in itself. Determine how much sleep you need and see if it helps. Dont forget to apply cool tea bags, an ice cube wrapped in soft cloth, or cucumber slices to your eyes daily.

Dark circles may be caused by a deficiency of vitamin K. Regardless of the cause, however, recent research has shown that skin creams containing these two ingredients reduce puffiness and discoloration significantly in many patients. Long-term daily use seems to have the greatest effect.

Dont rub your eyes as its caused by allergies, rubbing irritates the skin and can break tiny capillaries beneath the skin, causing both puffiness and discoloration.
Reduce your salt intake as it can cause the blood vessels under the skin to appear bluer.

Eat healthy meals and drink lots of water. A whole lot of problems are attributed to lack of vitamins in our body especially vitamin K. By increasing our fluids you will increase your circulation which is important for us.

Hide Your Double Chin

Believe it or not, many women, full-figured and thin alike, battle the dreaded double chin. Everything from extra pounds to weight loss to poor posture can exacerbate this problem, and minimizing its appearance can seem like an impossible task. But take heart, there are beauty and fashion tricks you can use to create the illusion of a longer, slimmer, double-chin-free neck.
Here’s how:
A double chin can make your whole neckline look thick and stumpy. Your aim, then, is to make your neck look as long and lean as possible. One way to do this is to keep your neckline free of hair. That can mean choosing a short cut — something with lots of chunky layers draws the eye up and away from your chin. It can also mean wearing your hair up, giving the illusion of a longer, slimmer neck. Keep your makeup focus on the eyes and cheeks. Doing so draws the eye upward to your amazing eyes or flushed cheeks, taking emphasis off your neck.
Be sure your brows are groomed impeccably, and then use neutral eye shadows and plenty of soft liner and mascara to add eye definition. Or go for the flushed-cheek effect by applying color to the apples of your cheeks; in this case, dress eyes with a coat of mascara only. Attempt to contour. Heavy contouring (the kind you tried in seventh grade to make your nose look slimmer) is too obvious. Instead, go for the subtlest touch. Dust a bronzer powder in a light shade along your jawline, under your chin. This creates a shadow, which in turn makes your chin look less conspicuous. Sweep some bronzer over your temples and nose to keep the look natural.
 Fashion Tricks
Avoid tops that stop just below your neck, as they’ll emphasize your double chin. Crew necks, boat necks, and high v-necks are all off-limits. Pick tops that elongate your neckline. As with your hairstyle, your choice of top can make your neck look longer and leaner (and your chin less noticeable). Go for tops with deep v-necks or scoop necks, or wear open-collared button-downs. Another option: A high turtleneck that camouflages your double chin. Choose accessories wisely. Chokers that pinch your neck, long earrings that end alongside your problem area, and neck scarves all draw attention to a double chin. Instead, pick pieces that elongate and draw the eye away from your chin, such as a long lariat or necklace, sparkly stud earrings, and scarves worn away from the neck.
 Chin Exercises
There are several exercises that specifically target the chin and neck area.
Here is one simple but very effective exercise:
Sit or stand straight, then slowly tilt your head back as far as you can. Open your mouth as wide as you can. Do this exercise in 10 to 20 repetitions. This exercise works particularly on strengthening the neck muscles and eliminating fat in the chin area.
Achieve a more youthful-looking face once you lose your double chin. Do this through a proper diet and double chin exercises.

Nourishing Your Hair

Your hair goes through a lot of damage every single day. Whether it’s blow drying, straightening, or the environmental damages such as smoke and pollution. Either way, you need to nourish your hair

 Do a Mini Head Massage
A scalp rubdown boosts blood flow to the hair. Circulation helps hair follicles get the nutrients they need to grow thick at night. Do this by gently pressing your thumbs at the base of your skull where it meets your neck, and move them in circular motion. Then spread both hands wide, and make small circles with your fingertips as you move up and along your hairline and crown.
 Get Silky Hair
If your hair is dry do an conditioning treatment by applying a good hair oil or mask into your hair at night. Let it soak overnight, and you’ll see a huge difference in the morning. Just be sure to place a towel over your pillow to protect it.Excellent conditioner.
Score Super Volume
To give your roots some lift without causing breakage, have your hair in a ponytail using a soft scrunchie ( not an elastic, which can tear your strands and damage your hair). Sleep on it and you’ll see beautiful volume in the morning.

Making Stretch Marks less Noticable

Every women has a time in their life when she is prone to develop stretch marks. Some
women just have a genetic predisposition to stretch marks and get them without significant
reasons. In order to prevent stretch marks, some doctors recommend stomach moisturizing
during pregnancy. But it doesn’t mean it could help everyone. For some women stomach
moisturizing prevents stretch marks, but some are simply prone to them. About 80% of
pregnant women develop stretch marks to some degree.
I am sharing with you some other remedies for stretch marks, which, though they are
effective against stretch marks, can be made at your home.

Here are some useful tips for it:
Exercise more, because it tones your muscles and makes your skin more elastic.
Eat food with plenty of protein and rich in vitamin C and vitamin E, because they promote good tissue growth.
Massage your body in the places, where stretch marks occurred.
In order to make the massage more effective, use olive oil.
Apply cocoa butter and elastin cream on the stretch marked areas of your body.

You can also try the following recipe against stretch marks.

 1/2 cup virgin olive oil.
 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
. liquid from 6 capsules of Vitamin E.
liquid from 4 capsules of Vitamin A.
Take these ingredients, mix them together in a blender. After that pour the mixture into a jar and store it in the fridge. Apply the substance on the body areas, where you have stretch marks and, as you are prone to them, apply it also on other zones without stretch marks, but where stretch marks normally appear (abdomen, hips, thighs and breasts). This will help reduce the size and appearance of the existing stretch marks and prevent their further occurrence. There are also quite a few good products on the market if you want to try them.

Epsom Salts: A Beauty Enhancer

Epsom salts can be used in different ways, and its cheap to buy. Epsom salts are pretty much the same, so you don’t have to check brands. Have them in a small plastic container or a ceramic jar.You can use them in various ways .

Face.

For a dewy complexion, mix 1/2 tsp Epsom salts into cleansing cream. Gently massage on skin and rinse with cool water. Pat dry. Apply your favorite moisturizer. They soften the skin, leave no residue, and don’t dry out the skin.

Body

Remove dead skin with an Epsom salt body scrub. Mix 2 cups with 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Use the mixture to gently slough away dry patches.

Feet

For a foot scrub, mix 2 cups of Epsom salts with 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Use the mixture to gently scrub the heels and dry, rough patches on the feet. You will have soft and clean feet.

Bath

This is my favorite. Soak in warm water and add one or two cups of salts to relax your mind and muscles after a tough workout or a hard day. Studies show the wide-ranging benefits of magnesium and sulfate are the two major components of Epsom salts.

Hair

Yes hair .Most people dont like the idea of salts on their hair. For salt-sprayed beach hair with volume and texture, combine equal parts of warm, deep conditioner and Epsom salt. Work the warm mixture through your hair and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse.
